Hay Central Appraisal District maps will now be available for download in Microstation (.dgn) and ArcGIS formats. We will no longer have the old grid maps or TIFF images available for viewing or downloading from our website. The new mapping format will be searchable and much easier to use than the old system. If you have access to a CAD program then the Microstation download would be best to use. You will have more options to edit and manipulate with the Microstation file but you will need to know how to use the program. The ArcGIS format is easier to use but will not have the option to edit it and should be the download of choice of the average user. To view the ArcGIS file you will have to download the free viewer and the file. The mapping department will not be able to answer any question either by phone or e-mail on how to use Microstation or ESRI (ArcGIS) programs.
